The UN Global Compact, which seeks to build a sound global society through joint efforts between the United Nations and the private sector (companies and other organizations), represents the world’s most significant sustainability initiative. Signatory organizations are required to commit to supporting and putting into practice 10 principles in four areas: human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.
