In June 2004, our head office held "Eco Partnership 2004" which is an environmental awareness-raising event, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment, the Miyagi prefectural government, the Sendai city government, and the Miyagi Environmental Counselor Association that is an NPO corporation. This event was based on the concept that it is important that various entities such as governments, companies, and civil groups make efforts toward the solution of environmental problems in cooperation with the local residents while sharing their respective understanding of environmental problems and building the partnership on the relations of trust.
In the event, which was held for a period of about one week with "Let's Know, Think, and Act" as a slogan, there were panel exhibitions on the theme of environmental problems, seminars, workshops, as well as the environmental concert by ocarina player Mikako Mototani, promoting communications with the local residents.
